• Why are there numerous short hairs growing on my scalp?
  The hardening and shrinking that occurs around the hair follicle stunts hair growth. You can compare this to a large plant growing in a small pot. Hair tries to grow as normal but due to hair follicle hardening, it can only grow a few millimeters. Many people believe that the short hair on the scalp is new hair! This is not true. Such hair is in fact the first to disappear. Aminexil takes care that this does not happen and encourages this type hair to grow back as normal
  
  
• Will my hair become thicker?
  Once the short hair starts to grow back, your hair count increases.
  Consequently, you will notice that you have a thicker/fuller head of hair. A strand of hair, which previously had a thickened collagen structure, develops a 'thinner' structure. A normal hair is approximately 0,06 mm thick. If influenced by collagen thickening the structure also becomes thicker (0,05 or 0,04 mm). Once you start using Aminexil, your hair will be restored to its normal thickness. Your hair is strong once again.
  
  
• Has Aminexil any side effects?
  No, absolutely none. Dermatologists worldwide have been testing this product for 10 years. This is your guarantee that it is a safe product to use.
  
  
• What does 'seasonal influences' on hair loss mean?
  Some people suffer from increased hair loss during the summer or winter- time. Women are especially prone to seasonal influences. Summer time hair loss is due to a transition period between little and much sunlight. In winter the opposite happens. These changes jointly affect one's hormone cycle. The following is a summation of seasonal influences: the role of sunlight (in providing vitamin d), the natural changing of the hormone cycle, and the stress associated with seasonal change. Research into Aminexil takes these seasonal influences into consideration. The conclusion is that Aminexil prevents extra hair loss associated with the above mentioned factors during these times. The influences associated with seasonal change have no effect on long term hair loss, therefore, you don't have to take these changes into account.
  
  
• Aminexil versus Propecia?
  Momentarily, two products are available on the market, which fight hair loss. One is called Aminexil and the other is named Finasteride. Both products strive for the same goal, namely the prevention of the hardening around the hair follicle. Both products display huge differences in use and side effects. Intensive dermatological research into the Aminexil product proves that no side effects exist, whereas, the Finasteride product produces definite side effects. Propecia is taken in tablet form, whereas Aminexil is a liquid, which is applied to the scalp. Aminexil starts to work directly on the hair follicle. Finasteride works on and influences the hormone. In the end, both products produce the same success rate.
  
  
• Can pregnancy affect hair loss?
  Yes, during the pregnancy period hormones undergo considerable changes in a woman's body. It is very normal to suffer from more than average hair loss after childbirth. For a period of 6 weeks prior to giving birth no hair loss takes place. Hair loss begins after childbirth. Hormones control the hair growth cycle, hair loss and transition phase. When a woman is pregnant, she does not lose as much hair as usual.
  
  Prolonged hair loss after childbirth means that the hormone cycle is disturbed in some way. This can lead to continued hair loss. To prevent this we advise using Aminexil. Aminexil restores the cycle and stimulates hair cell production. Have you excessive hair loss and given birth more than three months ago then you should use Aminexil.
  
  
• Can baldness be due to external causes?
  A skin disease may cause baldness. You may see patches and circles on the scalp where no hair is growing. Waste no time and seek a dermatologist's advice. He/she can recognize skin diseases and help you. Other reasons for excessive hair loss may be narcosis, chemotherapy or by using wrong products (think about skin allergies). Aminexil treats this type of hair loss. You may start using Aminexil after completing the last chemotherapy course of treatment.
  
  
• Will Health Insurance Schemes cover me?
  No, unfortunately. Almost every treatment is compensated by the National Health, but as this particular treatment is considered 'cosmetic' it is not covered.
  
  
• Can I use gel during an Aminexil treatment?
  Yes, you may apply gel, wax and hair spray to your hair. What ever you have done to your hair in the past, you may continue doing so. Aminexil is designed to be quick and simple to use. Do not, however, use cream products that require rinsing and two-in-one products (for example, Wash & Go).
  
  
• Are two treatments adequate in one year or should I use more?
  Research has shown that two treatments are adequate. This is enough to prevent hair loss. Use 42 bottles for 42 consecutive days / 6 weeks. It is possible to use a further treatment 'in between' the twice-yearly advised Aminexil treatment. Another alternative is the use of a lotion containing actifeur 7. This lotion stimulates the hair follicle's nutrition as well as its cell division.
  
  
• Dandruff causes hair loss?
  No, but in less common cases the greasy scales stick to the hair causing it (hair) to lift from the scalp. Psoriasis patients suffer from this type of scaly eruptions. Normally speaking, dandruff does not cause falling hair.
